This makes it very difficult for doctors to make a diagnosis based on symptoms a patient is suffering. And there is the problem of actually recognizing the symptoms. The time lapse between manic and depressive episodes can make it difficult to put them together for a diagnosis. A person in a depressive episode can be confused to be suffering from a severe case of depression.
There is some good news. A bipolar individual can solve all of their bipolar problems with the right doctor and the right treatment. With new research studies being done there are new medications to treat Bipolar disorder.
